So I booked my appointment, but, what do I bring? Your TMB Appointment Checklist

Hey you, congrats on getting engaged!

We are so excited to help you find your wedding dress! Before an appointment we always get asked “What do I bring”. And as your trusted Bridal Stylist we are going to give you the 411 on what you should have with you for your appointment at The Modern Bride. This is your TMB appointment checklist: 

Check 1: Bra

Here’s one of the great things about wedding dresses - much like working from home, bras are optional. Most of the dresses you will be trying on have boning (like a bustier) for support or they have cups already built into the dress. For the dresses that don’t, your Bridal Stylist will give you cups to put in the gown as you try it on. 

It’s much easier to visualize the dress without a bra since you won’t be wearing one on the big day - cups are usually sewn into your dress in alterations so it fits your cup size just right. 

If you feel more comfortable wearing a normal bra, sticky bra or pasties during your appointment that is totally fine too!

Check 2: Underwear

Three words say them with me, seamless, nude, thong. A seamless and nude thong is the best type of underwear for your appointment. If you have shapewear you want to test out you can bring that as well, but it isn’t a necessity.  

Check 3: A Support System 

Do you want to bring your favourite people to help you choose your dress? We love a good support system of people you trust, love and know will be in your corner ready to celebrate you when you say yes. Our appointments accommodate four people plus you and 6 people plus you if you have booked the My Plus Ones appointment.

If you prefer to come alone, we love that too. Our consultants will be there to cheer you on and make you feel like the queen you are!

Check 4: Your Glowing Self
