REAL BRIDE: LINDA & CHRISTOPHER

HOW DID YOU AND YOUR PARTNER MEET?

I met Chris at Kilt N’ Clover in Port Dalhousie, where he was unwinding with a beer after a round of golf with his buddies. I was out enjoying a night with my roommates, and eventually, our groups merged. It didn’t take long for me to feel that undeniable connection with him. The next week, Chris took a literal swing at impressing me on our first date at Dinosaur Mini-Golf in Niagara Falls. By the end of the date, I knew I had found someone special. Now, here we are, married, and sharing an apartment with our two cats (even though Chris hasn’t realized that two is just the beginning). Every day, I still find myself falling more in love with him.

Give us an overview of your wedding vision and how it came to life.

Our vision for the wedding was to create a modern celebration that truly represented our love while still feeling timeless for years to come. We focused on keeping the decor elegant and minimal, using neutral colors paired with white roses and personal touches. The venue was absolutely perfect, blending classic architecture with modern touches to achieve the vibe we wanted. When the day finally arrived and I saw it all come together, it felt like a dream come to life—a beautiful representation of us.

Tell us about your experience dress shopping at TMB.

I was actually pretty nervous going into dress shopping, especially as a curvy girl in the bridal world it can be a little intimidating. But the team at TMB made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. They listened carefully to my ideas, and funny enough, the dress I ended up falling in love with was one my stylist picked out for me. We even customized it by changing the neckline and adding sleeves, making it feel like it was made just for me. The sleeves were removable, which made me feel I had TWO dresses in one. The whole experience was relaxed, fun, and incredibly empowering. I left with memories I’ll never forget.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?

There were so many beautiful moments, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the balcony pictures. We stepped away from the reception for a little while, and it felt like time stood still as we spent some time together. It was a quiet, intimate moment amidst all the celebration – just the two of us taking it all in, feeling so grateful and in love.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

My biggest piece of advice is to stay true to what you both want and not feel pressured to please everyone. It’s your day, and every detail should reflect your vision and your personality!! Also, remember to take a few moments to just soak it all in – the day goes by so quickly, and those small pauses to be present with each other will become some of your favorite memories.
